Every keepsake I create begins long before the resin is poured. It begins with a story — yours, and mine.

Borderline Creative wasn’t born from a business plan or a sudden idea. It grew slowly, quietly, from a place of deep feeling, reflection, and lived experience. It’s more than a name. It’s a philosophy, a way of seeing the world, and a way of honouring the memories we carry.

Where It All Began

I’ve always been a sentimental person — the kind who keeps little things because they hold meaning far beyond their physical form. A pressed flower. A handwritten note. A ribbon from a bouquet. These small pieces of life have always felt important to me.

But everything changed after losing my uncle to suicide. Grief has a way of reshaping the world. Suddenly, ordinary objects become anchors. A shirt, a photo, a flower — they become the last physical threads connecting us to someone we love.

That experience made me realise how powerful it is to hold something tangible when everything else feels uncertain. It taught me that memory isn’t just emotional — it’s physical too. And sometimes, we need something we can touch.

Why Resin?

Resin is a medium that mirrors life in a strange, beautiful way. It’s unpredictable yet intentional. It requires patience, trust, and a willingness to let go of complete control.

Every pour is a balance between chaos and calm — a dance between what I guide and what the resin decides for itself. That’s why I chose the name Borderline Creative: it represents the space where boundaries soften, where emotion meets craft, and where something meaningful can emerge from the in‑between.

What My Work Means to Me

Creating keepsakes isn’t just a craft. It’s a privilege.

When someone sends me their flowers, their breastmilk, a lock of hair, or ashes from a loved one, they’re trusting me with something irreplaceable. They’re handing me a piece of their story — often a piece touched by love, loss, celebration, or healing.

I don’t take that lightly.

Every item I make is handled with care, intention, and respect. Whether it’s a memorial piece, a wedding flower preservation, or a keepsake marking a personal milestone, I treat each one as if it were my own.

Why I Continue

Borderline Creative is deeply personal to me. It’s a way of honouring my uncle, of honouring the people you love, and of honouring the moments that shape us.
